Read a long letter praying Islam
Prayer Muslim |
MuslimEU, As is known, praying in congregation is more important than praying alone. in prayer
In a congregation there must be an imam and a congregation. Naturally, a priest should know the situation
the mother behind him. Especially in the context of urban communities where
busy with work. Because if you pray too long in congregation, it will cause
Makmum is not focused and his mind is drifting somewhere.
quoted in the hadith, the Prophet said, "If any of you prays with people or leads the prayer, let him lighten his reading, because among them
there are the weak, the sick and the old. But if he prays alone,
let him lengthen the reading according to his will” (HR: Muslim).
When Rasulullah SAW was an Imam he was very conditional to see his congregation, When they were people who were ready in terms of the strength of their faith and also their physical strength, he sometimes read quite long letters.
In addition, he also pays attention to the condition of the congregation who may be in need of time or for example there are parents or there is a mother carrying her child and then her child cries, so she sometimes reads a short letter in the obligatory prayers.
If we try to see how the procedure for praying the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam is perfect, then we will meet him while praying after reading the letter al-Fatihah which is a pillar of prayer, so sometimes he is conditional.
As for the sunnah prayer, the Prophet sallallaahu 'Alaihi Wasallam said in a hadith: when we do the sunnah prayer, the prophet says read a long reading or letter according to what we want the hadith narrated by Imam Bukhari and Muslim.
This shows that when we pray sunnah it is recommended that we lengthen our reading, because when we are praying sunnah we do not have a bond with the congregation. When we are Imams or when we are Makmum we will not be left behind by our Imams if we read long letters. After all, reading the Surah of the Qur'an after reading Al-Fatihah is sunnah, it is not obligatory. Don't let things that are sunnah "damage" more important things, such as the solemnity and comfort of the congregation/mammum.
Imam Al-Bukhari's ijtihad in one of the hadiths is to allow the congregation to leave the congregation when the imam reads a letter that is too long.
Ibn Rajab Al-Hanbali said, if the Imam's reading is too long, then the congregation is allowed to leave the congregation if it is too tired, and is allowed to pray alone in the mosque even though the congregation in the mosque is still in progress.
Maybe this is an advice for all of us when we do the fard prayers especially if as Imams sometimes we are long, but if it is our turn to pray alone for the Sunnah prayers we tend to choose short letters, don't use long letters, don't get any impression, imam read a long letter to "deposit memorization" even "show off memorization" of the Quran. Remember, once again, reading the legal letter is sunnah, not the main thing in prayer.
